Since its founding in 2000, AAN Apparate- und Anlagentechnik Nuernberg GmbH has been primarily delivering thermal equipment and cooling systems for industrial purposes. Our focus is on providing customized, application-specific solutions and products of the highest quality standards.
Decades of experience in engineering and constructing thermal equipment and systems, as well as cooling systems, served as the foundation for the company's establishment. Initially, products were manufactured by regional companies. To ensure consistent quality and timely project completion, it became necessary to produce in-house. In June 2001, a dedicated manufacturing department was established. In 2003, a documented quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 was introduced and certified.
To be able to produce items subject to the Pressure Equipment Directive, the HP0 approval was obtained in 2006. In the same year, the manufacturing moved to a new and larger facility in Schwabach, near Nuremberg. With significantly improved space conditions, it became possible to expand our workforce and manufacture larger systems. In 2012, the technical office and sales department also moved to the new premises in Schwabach. At the end of 2023, the company founder and managing director, Mr. Walter Stöhr, retired and handed over the leadership to his son, Christian Stöhr, who has also been with the company and in management for many years.
The experience of our employees is just as crucial to the successful execution of a project as the software-supported design in the areas of thermal engineering, fluid mechanics, strength, and statics. The technical design and creation of production documents are exclusively carried out using 3D design programs. Based on these manufacturing drawings, our products are manufactured by skilled metalworkers and certified welders in our own facility. Experienced electrical professionals handle the construction of control cabinets and the electrical wiring of our systems.
Through regular training and instruction, we ensure that we produce in compliance with applicable legal rights, regulations, and standards. The same applies to the safety of our products.
We demonstrate this regularly in audits according to ISO 9001:2015, inspections according to AD2000 leaflet HP0, and quality audits by our customers.
